If you really want to create that racing xtx which participates in xt cup here in Greece you are not that far away i think.
It has :
Termignoni exhausts
PC III
slick tyres
modified rear end
mirrors and head removed
handguards
Ohlins suspension rear
and Ohlins front springs
sm footrests
and some kg removed .....stand, rear passenger holders etc

btw what is this???

It's a catch tank so that none of the engine breather pipes spread crap over the race track.

i'm sorry but that aint a racing xt it got nothing special on the bloody thing apart from slicks.
"modified rear end" laymans term he cut the bloody rear light off!!
he hasn't even got a full system just slip-ons
w can get all of our xt's to that state with out breaking the bank.

True but these are the bikes that are accepted in the official Yamaha XT cup here in Greece.
They made the rules in that way so anyone could participate if he wants to.

The prizes for all that join and finish are 50% discounts in Ohlins , Shark and Richa products + a 30% ( i think) discount in new XT !!!

Not bad buddy!!!

As i heard all XTX's suffered from their excessive weight. Most of the riders faced problems with their suspension despite of Ohlins excellent quality.

the xt660x is designed as a road bike thats why its more user friendly than a ktm etc. if you want a race bike get a yz 400 with road wheels . the xt is always going to be a compremise. if yamaha wanted to produce a pure supermoto they would , but who would buy one .for the road not many iwould guess
